Mangahuia Campsite sits beside a stream on the edge of Tongariro National Park, easily accessed from State Highway 47 near National Park Village. Managed by the Department of Conservation, this peaceful site provides basic toilets and a tranquil base for exploring the central North Island's volcanic landscape. The campsite offers spacious areas for tents and campervans, with walking trails nearby leading into the national park. Fires are not permitted.
