Mangahuia Camping Ground is a Department of Conservation site located beside a stream on the edge of Tongariro National Park in the Central North Island. This peaceful conservation campsite offers 21 sites, with 15 suitable for campervans. Facilities include non-flush toilets, a cooking shelter, and water from tap that requires boiling before use. The campground is positioned along State Highway 48, approximately six kilometres east of National Park village. Fees apply for adults and children, with infants staying free, and bookings are made online. The DOC Campsite Pass is accepted at this location.
