Help & Support

EscapeTo helps you find places to camp, plan the drive and see what other travellers thought. It runs on iPhone and at escapeto.travel. If you’re stuck, we’re a short email away.

Contact us

Email [email protected] with your question and, if it’s about a campsite, a link to the listing.

In the app you can also use Menu → Send feedback.

Delete your account

In the iOS app:

  1. Make sure you’re signed in.
  2. On the Home screen, tap the menu button (three lines, top right).
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Scroll to Danger Zone and tap Delete Account, then confirm.

This permanently deletes your account, reviews, photos, trips and saved campsites. It can’t be undone. If you can’t get into the app, email [email protected] from the address on your account and we’ll delete it for you. Our Privacy Policy lists exactly what is removed.

Report a listing problem

Wrong location, closed campground, fees changed, or a photo that isn’t right? Tell us and we’ll fix it.

  • In the app: Menu → Send feedback → Problem. Include the campsite’s name and what’s wrong.
  • Or email [email protected] with a link to the listing.
  • Run the place? Tap I run this place on the listing in the app to claim it and update its details.

To report a review or photo that breaks our Terms of Use, email us with a link to it.

Common questions

Is EscapeTo free?
Yes. The app and the website are free to use. You can browse without an account.
Which countries does it cover?
The app covers the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Argentina and Chile. The website covers those plus Australia. Switch country from the menu in the app, or the country picker on the website.
Where does the campsite information come from?
In the United States, from Recreation.gov’s federal recreation database (RIDB) and OpenStreetMap. In Canada, New Zealand, Argentina and Chile, mainly from OpenStreetMap contributors. In Australia, from park agencies, campground operators and OpenStreetMap. Travellers and owners add reviews, photos and corrections on top. Conditions change, so always check with the operator before you go.
Do I need an account?
No. You only need one to save trips and campsites across devices, write reviews or upload photos. In the app you sign in with Apple. The website also offers Google and Facebook.
Can I book through EscapeTo?
Booking buttons take you to the campground, park agency or booking site, and you book directly with them. Their terms and refund rules apply.
How does EscapeTo use my location?
Only if you allow it: to show campsites near you, to answer “near me” questions in the AI assistant, and to guide you in ride mode. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
