Overview
Shenoah Picnic Area is located in Blacksmith’s Fork Canyon on the banks of the Blacksmith Fork River about 9 miles from Hyrum, Utah at an elevation of 5,600 feet.
Recreation
Visitors enjoy hiking, fishing and exploring off-road trails. Mountain bikers can follow Forest Road 245 to the Great Western Trail,a multi-use trail, near the Blacksmith Fork Guard Station. Scenic drive the roads or hike area trails while watching for wildlife.
Facilities
Shenoah Picnic Area has a group picnic area made up of 9 individual picnic sites and a group campfire ring. When the group site is not reserved, picnic sites that make up the group site may each be rented on a first come, first serve basis for day use until 12 PM. This picnic area offers vault restroom facilities.
Natural Features
The picnic area sits near the banks of the Blacksmith Fork River, surrounded by rugged hills that are shaded by black willow and box elder trees.

Reservation Cancellations & Changes
Cancelling a Reservation: Customers may cancel their reservation prior to arrival both on-line and through the call center. A $10 service fee will be withheld from any refund for a cancellation. Depending on when you cancel in relation to your arrival day, it may be considered a late cancellation (see below).
Changing an Existing Reservation: When changes are made prior to the cut-off window:
If a customer wants to switch dates that are entirely outside of the original reservation dates, there is a $10 change fee.
There is no change fee if a customer extends or shortens a reservation, as long as the change includes dates from the original reservation. If they choose to depart early, they may forfeit the recreation fee for the day of departure.
There is no change fee if the customer wants to switch sites that are the same price with the same reservation dates in the same facility.
If a reservation is made that includes dates beyond the maximum booking window, that reservation cannot be changed until 18 days have passed from the original booking date.
Late Cancellations or Cancellations within the Cut-off Window
Individual Campsites: A customer who cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a one-night reservation will forfeit the entire amount paid and will not be subject to an additional service fee.
Cabins / Lookouts: Customers who cancel a cabin or lookout reservation less than 14 days before the arrival date will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee.

This little campground has many nicely secluded sites tucked under Black Willow and Box Elder trees. Recreation Visitors enjoy hiking, fishing and exploring off-road trails. BLACKSMITH FORK GUARD STATION
Overview Blacksmith Fork Guard Station is located in the Cache National Forest, approximately 11 miles east of Hyrum, in northern Utah. The Guard Station was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1934 as part of the New Deal Program. Early Forest Service stations were typically spaced a "days ride by horseback" from each other. The Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forests has decided to rent the cabin to the public so visitors can enjoy a rustic experience similar to that of early Forest Rangers and their families. Recreation A variety of hiking, biking, horseback riding and off-road vehicle trails crisscross the surrounding area. The cabin is less than one mile from the Richards Hollow Trailhead and Friendship Campground. Facilities The Guard Station complex can sleep 5 people inside the cabin and no more than 4 tents outside. There is also room for a small travel trailer in the driveway. No vehicles are permitted on the grass. Natural Features The small green and white cabin sits on the bank of the Left Hand Fork of the Blacksmith Fork River at an elevation of 5,400 feet. It is surrounded by box elder and oak trees with the steep canyon wall behind the cabin covered in Douglas fir trees. Nearby Attractions Hardware Ranch Wildlife Management Area is approximately 5-miles southeast along the main fork of the Blacksmith Fork River and State Route 101.

FRIENDSHIP CAMPGROUND
Overview Friendship Campground is located about 15 miles from Hyrum, Utah, in the mountains of Blacksmith Fork Canyon at an elevation of 5,600 feet. Visitors enjoy hiking, fishing and exploring off-road trails. Recreation Friendship offers many recreational activities. Richards Hollow Trail, for hiking and mountain biking, begins just outside the campground. Left Hand Fork provides great fishing for wild brown, cutthroat and rainbow trout.
