Scotts Beach Campsite sits within Kahurangi National Park on the West Coast, accessible only on foot along the Heaphy Track. This walk-in site offers nine tent sites with toilet facilities, managed by the Department of Conservation. The campsite lies on a sandy beach framed by steep, rainforest-clad cliffs and stands of nikau palms, reached via an inland track crossing the Kohaihai bluff. Bookings are required, and sandflies are prevalent, so insect repellent is essential. The beach itself is regarded as one of the scenic highlights of the Heaphy Track.
