Mangamate Campsite is a Department of Conservation site in the Bay of Plenty, located within Whirinaki Forest Park near Te Whaiti. Set beside the Whirinaki River amongst native rimu and totara forest, the campground features access to a stream and waterfall. The site accommodates caravans and tents across twelve sites, with barbecue and toilet facilities provided. Wheelchair-accessible wooden platforms extend over the river to assist with fishing. The Whirinaki River offers opportunities for trout fishing and swimming. Bookings and further information are managed through Ngati Whare rather than directly through DOC.
