Overview

Hanging Rock Campground is located just off of Highway 21 between the towns of Beaver and Minerville, UT. The campground has six campsites all located alongside the scenic Beaver River. Along with the scenery that the river provides, it also offers what many consider to be the best fising in Beaver County.

Recreation

The Beaver River provides opportunity for year-round fishing. The Paiute ATV Trail and Beaver Bench Mountain Bike Trail System are located just down the road in Beaver, UT.

Facilities

Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. Sites 1, 2, 5, and 6 have pavilions.

Natural Features

Each campsite is located alongside the Beaver River. Views of the rocky, rolling hills can be seen all around. A short drive or hike in either direction will provide views of either the Mineral or Tushar Mountains.

Overview The Little Cottonwood Campground is conveniently located off Utah's I-15, adjacent to the Beaver River just outside of the community of Beaver in the Fishlake National Forest. At 6,500 feet in elevation, this is a great place to enjoy the mountains where recreation opportunities include stream fishing, hiking, and hunting. Recreation Enjoy fishing in the Beaver River; an accessible fishing path is located within the campground. The Piute ATV Trail is nearby; however there is no access directly from the campground. Be prepared to trailer ATVs to the nearby trailheads for access. Nearby Cottonwood Trail is a horse and foot trail that is accessed through the lower part of Cottonwood Campground. This rugged trail will lead southwest for about the first two miles and then takes a sharp turn to the east through Horse Flat. Facilities The campground has fourteen single-family campsites, two of which are accessible units available for reservation. All campsites are paved and have picnic tables and grills. An accessible restroom with flush toilets serves the campground. Potable water is available during the summer season. RVs up to 40 feet in length can be accommodated; no hook-ups are available. Natural Features Common vegetation includes cottonwood, aspen, pinion, juniper and ponderosa pine trees. A majority of campsites at Little Cottonwood are well-shaded. The Fishlake National Forest offers spectacular vistas and opportunities to view wildlife in their natural habitat. Elk, deer, black bear, moose, cougar and mountain goats are some of the large animals that call the forest home.

Overview Ponderosa Picnic Area is located along the Beaver Canyon Scenic Byway. It is next to the Beaver River, at an elevation of 7,000 feet. Visitors enjoy fishing and relaxing along the river. Recreation The Beaver River offers great rainbow and brook trout fishing. Hiking and biking trails begin a short drive east. Horseshoe pits and a volleyball court are available, but picnickers must bring their own equipment (horseshoes, net and a ball). Facilities The picnic area is a day-use site for large groups, making it a perfect place for family reunions and church outings. Site 1, called East, can accommodate up to 120 people, while site 2, called West, can accommodate up to 80 people. Reservations can be made for either individual sites or the whole area at once. Each site contains tables, grills, campfire circles, electric lights. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided. An amphitheater with bench seating is also located on-site. Natural Features Towering ponderosa pines, cottonwoods, aspens and maples provide partial shade in the grassy, gently sloping picnicking site. Between the trees are scenic views of the canyon. Nearby Attractions Beaver Canyon Scenic Byway curves past the picnic area, offering 17 miles of scenic driving through the beautiful Tushar Mountains. Numerous lakes and streams throughout the area provide fishing, boating and canoeing opportunities.

Overview The Little Reservoir Campground is conveniently located off Utah's I-15, just outside the community of Beaver in the Fishlake National Forest. It sits at an elevation of 7350. This is a great place to enjoy the mountains where recreation opportunities include fishing, hiking and hunting. Recreation Enjoy fishing in the Beaver River nearby or there at the reservoir in the campground. The Piute ATV Trail is nearby; however there is no access directly from the campground. LITTLE RESERVOIR CAMPGROUND

Little Reservoir is within sight of the campsites or a short walk. Good hunting, fishing, biking and spectacular mountain scenery is available. Winter activities in the area include ice fishing, snowmobiling and cross country skiing. Bird watching is also very popular. Overstory vegetation consisting mainly of ponderosa pine with pinion, juniper and scrub oak provides shade for about half of the area. There are eight single-family campsites. Sites are back-in sites and will accommodate RV's from 22 to 40 feet. All units have grills and/or fire rings and tables. Drinking water is available at three locations throughout the campground. There are three vault toilets including one that is barrier free. Campsite #4 is handicap accessibile. A paved trail leads to the reservoir for fishing.
