Egans Park Reserve in Coromandel offers freedom camping for certified self-contained vehicles only, located on The 309 Road at Kaimarama. Managed by Thames-Coromandel District Council, this free site permits a maximum stay of two consecutive nights with departure required by 9am. Campers must park within the designated area marked by freedom camping signs in the bottom car park, a 40-metre circular zone on the inside of the unsealed accessway.
