Overview Murray Bay Campground is located on the Hungry Horse Reservoir, high in the Rocky Mountains, less than 30 miles from the Continental Divide, surrounded by towering mountain peaks. Visitors can expect a variety of recreational activities, including, fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, exploring and big game hunting. Murray Bay Campground has 20 sites, 11 which are reservable and 9 that are for our walk up visitors. The stay limit is 16 consecutive days. Recreation Boating is popular on the 27,750-acre reservoir, and a concrete boat ramp is accessible from within the campground. Swimming and fishing are also popular pastimes, and anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish, including cutthroat trout. Facilities The campground offers 20 overnight sites for tent and RV camping. Each is equipped with tables and campfire rings with grills. Accessible vault toilets and drinking water are provided. The water is 2 hand pumps and are not for filling RV's so please come full. Campground roads and parking spurs are gravel. An on-site host is available to answer any questions about the campground and surrounding area. Natural Features The campground is situated along the massive Hungry Horse Reservoir, which was dammed to provide hydroelectric power and flood control to the area. It is the 10th highest dam in the United States and provides a stunning backdrop. Nearby Attractions Murray Bay Campground is approximately 31 miles southwest of the West Glacier entrance to Glacier National Park. Charges & Cancellations No cancellations can be made within 4 days of your arrival date through recreation.gov. You must wait for your reservation dates to pass then call Cheryl at 406-752-PWAI (7924) or 406-404-4164 to turn in a Refund Request. Refunds can then be considered, by the concessionaire, of Camping fees only. You will automatically forfeit the first nights fee. Any cancellations within 4 days of your arrival must be turned to Cheryl also, to get the information to the campground Host. Otherwise your site will be held for you and there will be no chance for a refund. All Considerations can only be made after your original reservation dates have passed. *No shows have no chance of a refund.

The stay limit is 10 consecutive nights. Recreation Boating is popular on the 27,750-acre reservoir, and a concrete boat ramp is accessible from within the campground. Swimming and fishing are also popular pastimes, and anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish, including cutthroat trout. Facilities The campground offers 1 large group site for tents and RV camping, with room for up to 5 RV's. It is equipped with 3 tables and 3 campfire rings with grills. Accessible vault toilets are provided. There is no water or garbage service at this facility. Water may be found 1 mile south at Murray Bay Campground. Though not a fill station, there are 2 hand pumps available for drinking water. Campground roads and parking spurs are gravel. An on-site host is available at nearby Murray Bay Campground to answer any questions about the facility and surrounding area. Overview Anna Creek Cabin is located 30 miles south of the town of Hungry Horse, perched above Hungry Horse Reservoir with sweeping views of the reservoir and the Great Bear Wilderness. Winter - Access road not maintained/plowed for wheeled-vehicle travel. Plan on winter access via a 24-mile snowmobile ride or other over-the-snow vehicle on an ungroomed route . The cabin provides a private setting to enjoy the recreation opportunities along the west side of Hungry Horse Reservoir. Recreation Summer - The cabin location provides a base to explore the numerous recreation opportunities along the west side of Hungry Horse Reservoir. Visitors can access the water within a short drive to Graves Bay, Graves Creek or Handkerchief Lake for fishing, swimming or boating. Access to hiking trails along pioneer ridge or the east side of Jewel Basin are in close proximity to the cabin. Other popular activities such as driving for pleasure, berry picking, wildlife watching, and fishing are abundant in the area around the cabin. Winter - The cabin provides a base for ample winter reacreation oppurtunities in the Swan Mountain Range. Please familarize yourself with the free winter over-the-snow maps available online, at the Hungry Horse Ranger Station, and at the cabin. Facilities This single story cabin is equipped with a propane cook stove/oven, 2 propane heaters, propane lights and accessible vault toilet. Indoor accommodations sleep up to 12 people on one double bed, two twin beds, two double/twin bunk beds, plus two twin roll out trundle beds. Outside, enjoy the campfire pit with barbecue grate and the deck on the south side of the cabin. No drinking water or electricity are available. Guests should bring plenty of water, bedding, food, flashlights, basic camping gear, tools to gather outdoor firewood, among other necessities. There is not a wood stove available at the cabin. Natural Features The cabin is set up above the West Side Hungry Horse Reservoir road providing privacy and scenic views. The west side of the cabin and large parking area backs up to the forest with Anna creek flowing through. The east side of the cabin offers open views of the Great Bear Wilderness. The site offers a nice mix of shade and sun. Nearby Attractions Summer - Water access to Hungry Horse Reservoir, Graves Creek and Handkerchief Lake are a short drive away. See maps. Winter - The Swan Mountain Range is a winter recreation wonderland. Please see over-the-snow maps for motorized use restrictions.

Overview Lid Creek Campground lies on the Hungry Horse Reservoir, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, west of the Continental Divide and just south of the Canadian border. Spectacular views and ample opportunities for recreation surround the campground, keeping visitors coming back to the area again and again. Here, we have 22 rentable sites with 13 of them being reservable and 9 for our walk-up visitors. The stay limit is 16 consecutive nights. Recreation Visitors to the area enjoy a variety of biking and hiking trails that begin near the campground and wind around the reservoir. Boating, swimming and fishing are excellent pastimes on the 27,750-acre Hungry Horse Reservoir. Anglers can expect a catch of cutthroat trout and other varieties. Facilities The campground offers 22 campsites, several of which are first-come, fist-served sites for tent and RV camping. Each site is equipped with tables and campfire rings with grills. Vault toilets are provided, but drinking water is not available at the campground. Natural Features The campground is located along the Hungry Horse Reservoir within the Flathead National Forest in northwestern Montana. It is nestled in a mixed forest of conifers at an elevation of 3,600 feet. The area is popular for its plentiful huckleberry bushes. Home to lynx, grizzly bear, and bull trout and with numerous lakes, streams, and rivers to enjoy, the forest is a premiere destination for visitors. Nearby Attractions Lid Creek Campground is just 23 miles southwest of the West Glacier entrance into Glacier National Park.
