Overview Big Meadows Horse Camp is located 23 miles south from Idanha, Oregon, at an elevation of 3,600 feet of of Big Meadows Road (Forest Service Road 2267). Big Meadows Road is paved, but most access roads and travel surfaces throughout campground and in the adjacent forest are compacted rock. There are 9 camping units that can accommodate vehicles and trailers up to 36 feet in length. Each site has a picnic table. There are two single-vault toilets and stock amenities including 4-stall corrals or highlines in each campsite, hitching rack, loading ramp, and stock water trough. Drinking water is available via hand pump. This location has 6 reservable sites and 3 sites which are on a first-come, first-served basis only. Campfires allowed until and unless otherwise posted. Fire bans are common during summer months. Please plan accordingly. Scan and Pay might be offered at this campground; It is recommended that you pay by cash or check for FCFS campsites. There are no refunds, modifications, cancellations, or other fee changes allowed with FCFS payments. This system is the same as putting cash into a fee tube and cannot be refunded. Please download the Rec.Gov app prior to arriving at the campground as there may be no cellular service or very limited service at the campground. If no Scan & Pay option is available you must pay via cash or check. Reservations for this site can be made up to 6 months in advance of arrival date by reserving online at RECREATION.GOV or by calling 877-444-6777. Overview Riverside Campground provides 32 single campsites that can accomodate trailers up to 24 feet in length, 1 double campsite. This campground has both reservable and FCFS campsites. The campground is situated with two main loops. All sites are equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. Water is provided via individual faucet risers located throughout the campground. There are three double-vault toilets located in accessible locations. Trash receptacles are located in the campground. Campfires allowed until and unless otherwise posted. Recreation Anglers enjoy fishing for rainbow trout on the river. Among the many options for hiking and biking trails, the Mt. Jefferson-Pamelia Lake Trail Area is bound to please all types. Hikers looking for a challenging trail will enjoy the Minto Mountain Trail. Facilities This campground has 37 sites, 26 are reservable. The campground is comprised of two sections. The southeast (upriver) section has more secluded sites on a bluff overlooking the river. Northwest (downriver) sites have partial shade and a more open setting. Drinking water spigots can be found throughout the campground. Waste gray water disposal sites are provided. Firewood is available for sale on-site. Natural Features Riverside is located along the North Fork Santiam River at an elevation of 2,400 feet. Surrounding vegetation includes hemlock, rhododendron and fern, among the towering conifers. The campground is in the North Santiam Travel Corridor of the Willamette National Forest. The forest covers 1.6 million acres on the western slopes of the Cascade Range. Here, visitors can see rainbow trout, summer steelhead and spring chinook being harvested.

Overview Lost Lake Campground is adjacent to Highway 20 near the summit of Santiam Pass in the Willamette National Forest. This campground is not Lost Lake Resort in the Mt. Hood National Forest. This rustic campground is located on the west shore of shallow Lost Lake. The water level of the lake fluctuates seasonally and is quite low in summer with water loving willows crowding the marshy shallows of the lake. This is a popular spot during fishing and hunting seasons. This campground has 15 single campsites. Trailers are not recommended at this location. There are picnic tables, fire rings, and three single vault toilets. No drinking water is available. Campfires allowed until and unless otherwise posted. Fire bans are common during summer months. Please plan accordingly. Nearby Attractions Lost Lake, Big Lake Day Use and Trail areas, Sand Mountain Lookout, Big Lake and Big Lake West Campgrounds, Mt Washington Wilderness, and the Pacific Crest Trail.
