Aster Lake Backcountry Campground is managed by Alberta Parks and located in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park in the Kananaskis region of Alberta. Accessed via the Upper Kananaskis Lake Trail and Aster Lake Trail, this backcountry site serves hikers exploring the park's alpine terrain. The trailhead is approximately fifty kilometres south of Highway 1 on Highway 40, then south on Kananaskis Lakes Trail.
