Agate Point Recreation Site

Agate Point Recreation Site is a small day-use area on the north shore of Tchesinkut Lake near Burns Lake in central British Columbia. The site features picnic tables, an outhouse, and a pebble beach where visitors can fish for rainbow trout from shore or search for semi-precious stones including agate, jasper, obsidian, chalcedony, quartz, calcite, and petrified wood. Access is via Highway 35 south from Burns Lake, then east on Tchesinkut East Road, with the final portion on gravel. While primarily intended for day visits, the site allows stays of up to 14 days with no nightly fee.
