Ngaroma 4WD Park Campsite is a free-to-use Department of Conservation shared area in Otorohanga District, maintained by the King Country 4WD Club with donations welcomed. Located approximately 23 kilometres up Waitaramoa Road, the site offers shelters, fireplaces, tables and tank water alongside BBQ facilities, toilet amenities and space for caravans and tents. The gravel access road requires a 4WD vehicle and allows about an hour's travel time. Visitors can use the site without booking but are asked to sign the visitor book on arrival. DOC regulations prohibit cutting native timber.
