Motutara Farm Campsite offers over 200 tent sites across 75 hectares of farmland at Whananaki on Northland's east coast, approximately 40 minutes from Whangarei. The camping area spans two pohutukawa-fringed beaches, Kings Beach and Barrons Beach, with sites ranging from beachside and sea-view positions to green valley and hillside locations. The campground accommodates caravans and campervans at most sites. A local shop with cafe and takeaway operates nearby. The farm has been in the Barron family since 1915 and provides a spacious, picturesque coastal camping experience with access to surf beaches and estuary swimming.
