Mārahau Outdoor Education Camp is located at Mārahau, on the seashore opposite golden beaches and a sheltered inlet near the Abel Tasman National Park. The facility accommodates up to 69 people and is surrounded by native and exotic forests, farmlets, hills, streams and wetlands. Activities available from the site include tenting, kayaking, swimming, wading, yachting, bush walks and hikes through the estuary and nearby streams. The camp is available to schools in the Nelson-Tasman district for outdoor education programmes and also supports local organisations including craft clubs, sporting groups and youth programmes during weekends and school holidays.
