Kaimanawa Road Campsite is a Department of Conservation site in Kaimanawa Forest Park, located approximately 15 kilometres south of Turangi off State Highway 1. This free conservation campsite provides basic facilities including toilets and accommodates around 10 non-powered sites suitable for tents or vehicle camping across two sections. The upper section is a small turnaround area, while the lower section offers a larger gravel parking area with vault toilet facilities. Access is via Kaimanawa Road, turning right then left up a gravel road approximately 3.5 kilometres from the highway turnoff, making it accessible for those exploring the Kaimanawa Forest Park backcountry.
