Hipapatua/Reid's Farm Campsite is a riverside reserve managed by Taupo District Council on Huka Falls Road, approximately five minutes from Taupō town centre. Situated on the banks of the Waikato River, this free summer camping ground welcomes caravans, tents and pets, with basic toilet facilities provided. The reserve is popular for river swimming, kayaking and walking, offering a convenient base close to town. Camping is permitted during summer months only, with a maximum stay of three nights. The site is closed for camping during winter. Campfires are not permitted, and all visitors must remain on formed tracks and keep noise levels reasonable.
