Hog Park Campground offers a peaceful setting on the southeast shore of Hog Park Reservoir. The campground provides access to the water for boating, fishing and water sports, as well as options for hiking the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail. Blackhall Lookout
Overview Resting atop of a nearly 11,000-foot summit, Blackhall Mountain Lookout is perched in the Sierra Madre Range in southeast Wyoming. Traveling to the end of one of the highest roads in Wyoming rewards the visitor with panoramic views of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. Built in 1963, and listed on the National Historic Registry, this remote lookout tower sleeps 4 comfortably with one queen sized bed, and one twin sized bunk bed. The tower is equipped with LED solar lights, and strong AT&T and Union signals. Donβt miss the beautiful Wyoming sunrises and sunsets and an occasional lightning storm from the wrap-around catwalk offering 360-degree views! Being a remote cabin, water & Propane are not available, please plan ahead and bring your own drinking water and your own propane stove so you can cook during your stay. A vault toilet is located nearby. Also, please bring your own bedding, dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils. Outlets and charge ports are not available. Additionally, the last 3 miles leading to Blackhall Mountain Lookout require a high clearance vehicle with 4WD. Packing a saw in case of fallen trees on the road is also recommended. Lastly, please be advised this is a functioning fire tower and therefore availability of the cabin could be modified on the reservation system at any time to be utilized during a fire. BOTTLE CREEK GROUP PICNIC SITE
Overview Bottle Creek Group Picnic Site offers a large area for groups of up to 75 people to gather and enjoy the outdoors allow for up to 10 cars any more are subject to a $5 day use fee. The facility lies at an elevation of 8,800 feet within the Bottle Creek Campground in the Medicine Bow National Forest. The area's year-round recreation opportunities offer something for every adventurer and outdoor lover. Hiking, fishing and camping are available nearby. Trash Service is NOT Provided. Recreation Visitors come to Bottle Creek to picnic, fish, hike, camp and relax in the shade of the forest. Fishing for brown and rainbow trout is available on the Encampment and North Fork Encampment River. The adjacent campground is fairly open and makes an excellent base for fall hunting. Day hiking is popular on the Green Mountain Falls and Encampment River Trails. Facilities The Group Picnic Site has numerous large picnic tables, two serving tables, two large pedestal grills and one large wood grill. Approximately 150 feet of picnic table space on site. Camping is not permitted in the group picnic site. However, adjacent campsites in Bottle Creek Campground allow for overnight events. The campground offers 12 campsites available by reservation. The campground provides picnic tables, toilets, drinking water and fire grates. Natural Features The Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests and Thunder Basin National Grassland encompass nearly 3 million acres from central and northeastern Wyoming to north-central Colorado. Lodgepole pine, aspen, fir, spruce and shrubs dominate the landscape of the national forests. The Grassland boasts numerous species of grasses and wildflowers that add color to the landscape during warmer months. The Bottle Creek area is populated with pine and aspen, providing a blanket of shade for picnickers. Black bear, bobcat, coyote, elk, mule deer and moose are just some of the many animals that inhabit these rich and diverse lands. Nearby Attractions Visitors can find many more outdoor opportunities in the surrounding national forests and grasslands, including hiking, biking, camping, horseback and off-road vehicle riding, fishing, hunting, sightseeing and winter sports.

Encampment River Campground
The Encampment River Campground is a great location near the Encampment River for fishing, floating and hiking the Encampment River Trail. The campground has 8 campsites, vault toilet, day use parking and a foot trail. Each campsite features a picnic table, fire ring or grill, sandy tent pad, and parking space. Bring potable water and firewood. Camping season is typically June through mid-November. The trail is open to hikers year-round. No motor vehicles are allowed on the trail. Camping fees are $10 per campsite per night. No pull-throughs please, and horses are not allowed in the campground. The riparian area has cottonwoods, willows, juniper, wild rose, grasses and sagebrush. Visitors will see a variety of wildlife including bald eagles, bighorn sheep, pronghorn, mule deer, grouse, rattlesnakes. Both rainbow trout and brown trout are abundant.

Overview Hahns Peak Lake Campground lies on the shore of a small, scenic lake 30 miles north of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Families and outdoor enthusiasts love the abundant hiking, hunting, off highway vehicles, mountain biking and fishing opportunities. With an elevation of 8,500 feet, the campground offers spectacular views of the forested lakeshore, picturesque mountain lake, and iconic views of Hahns Peak, the eastern most point of the Elkhead Mountains. Hahns Peak Lake Campground consists of 23 single unit campsites and 3 double sites for larger groups. The campground is situated in a spruce, pine and fir forest along the shore of the 160-acre Hahns Peak Lake in the Routt National Forest of northwest Colorado. Lupine, Columbine and other colorful wildflowers appear throughout the campground in warmer months.Hahns Peak Lake Campground lies on the shore of a small, scenic lake just 30 miles north of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Recreation The lake provides trout fishing on or off shore, as well as boating for non-motorized or electric motor boats only. The West Side Lake Trail winds for nearly a mile along the lake shore. Facilities Hahns Peak Lake Campground consists of 23 single unit campsites and three double sites for the larger groups. The facility is small but campsites are spacious and private.
