Overview
Welcome to Appalachia Bay! Located south of US 412 just 20 miles west of Tulsa, this park features a boat ramp, camping, fishing and other water sports, and a 400 acre off road park. The lake's blue-green water, beautiful natural surroundings and wide variety of recreational opportunities make it a popular destination for year-round fun.
Recreation
Keystone Lake is a prime location for boating, water skiing, swimming and fishing. The lake is noted for its striped, sand, black and smallmouth bass, crappie and catfish. Downstream fisheries are accessible at nearby Whitewater and Brush Creek Parks. Appalachia Bay contains a 400 acre off road park, for Off Road Vehicles 64" wide or smaller. It also features a boat ramp, courtesy dock, fishing dock, and 24 campsites.

This campground features 24 reservable campsites, most with 30 and 50 amp electrical services, water hookups, picnic tables, fire rings, and grills. This park also offers a restroom/shower facility, drinking water, and dump station. Additionally there is a boat ramp with parking, day use area with picnic tables, and a 400 acre off road park.
Natural Features
Keystone Lake is settled into many small valleys and contains almost 26,000 surface acres. Its 330 miles of shoreline are covered with bottomland timber and post oak, blackjack oak and prairie fields, which provide habitat for a variety of wildlife, including deer, squirrel, rabbit, quail, dove and waterfowl.
Nearby Attractions
Washington Irving South Recreation Area offers tent or RV camping with a playground in the day use area as well as a 1-mile out-and-back hiking trail.
Brush Creek Recreation Area offers quiet camping below the dam with excellent fishing opportunities, a paved 1-mile fitness trail, basketball and sand volleyball courts.
Walnut Creek Park, on the Arkansas River, has a variety of camping areas, day use areas, and 17 miles of multi-use/equestrian trails. Please note Off Road Vehicle use is not allowed at Walnut Creek.
Whitewater, located below Keystone Dam on the south side of the river, is an off roading destination. There is no width restriction in this area, it is used by many Jeeps and trucks as well as ORVs.
Keystone Ancient Forest is a unique old-growth forest preserve. It features many miles of hiking trails. The park is operated by the City of Sand Springs, and dogs are welcome on select days.

Overview Washington Irving South is located on the Arkansas arm of Keystone Lake, just 30 minutes from Tulsa. In Washington Irving's book, "A Tour of the Prairies," he mentions the area as where he crossed the Arkansas River during his travels. The park features a one-mile nature trail, boat ramp, courtesy dock, playground, and multiple areas along the shores ideal for fishing. Sandy trails crisscross the area's beaches and wooded sections. Whitewater Park is an 80-acre off-road vehicle area next to the dam, about 15 minutes from the campground.

Brush Creek Public Use Area
Overview Brush Creek is located downstream of Keystone Dam, just 10 minutes from Tulsa, Oklahoma. This park features campground provided activities such as horseshoes, cornhole, a basketball court, a sand volleyball court, a mile-long fitness trail, and quick access to nearby multi-purpose trails. This is a popular destination for fishermen as they have the ability to cross along the pedestrian bridge from the campground to the fishing berm below the dam. In additon to fishing, this area offers prime opportunities to observe multiple wildlife species. Please note when camping here, while typically quiet, water releases from the dam are preceded by several warning signals from a horn. This is a brief safety measure for anyone in or near the water below the dam, and there is no danger to the campground. Recreation This park features fishing opportunities with disabled access, a pedestrian bridge, playground, horseshoe, cornhole, basketball court, volleyball court, and a fitness trail. Recreation opportunities that are offered nearby include the Two Rivers Trail, Keystone Singletrack Trail, and White Water Off Road Vehicle Area. Facilities This popular, quaint campground features 50 amp electrical service, water hookups, picnic tables, fire rings, grills, and lantern hooks at all sites. Additionally, sewer hookups are included at sites 1-14. This park also offers a restroom/shower facility. Natural Features The park is nestled along the Arkansas River, downstream from Keystone Dam. This location is popular for striped bass, white bass, white crappie, and various catfish species. Overview Nestled along the north shore of Keystone Lake, Walnut Creek Recreation Area is surrounded by sandy beaches, high bluffs, native grasses, rock outcrops and rolling hills, making it the ideal retreat for fun and quiet relaxation. Along with camping, boating, and day use opportunities, the park also includes 17 miles of trail for hiking and equestrian access. Recreation The park has camping, swimming, boat ramp, and 17 miles of hiking/equestrian trails. Facilities The park features 2 dump stations, 30 and 50 amp electrical service at campsites and water hookups. The campground has restroom/shower facility, backstop, and boat ramp. Walnut Creek's Sand Plum Trail is approximately 17 miles in length, crossing flat to rolling terrain, and affords many vistas of Keystone Lake. The trail is available to hikers, equestrians, and mountain bike enthusiasts. Trail users are advised to stay on designated trails; quicksand may occur along lakeshore.
