Wheeny Creek Camping Ground sits in the southeast section of Wollemi National Park, accessible via Comleroy Road near East Kurrajong. This free campground offers 30 unmarked sites suitable for tents, caravans and camper trailers, with toilets, barbecue facilities and picnic tables provided. The last 4 kilometres is unsealed road, accessible by 2WD vehicles in dry conditions though 4WD is required in wet weather. Visitors must bring their own drinking water, cooking water and firewood. A $6 booking fee applies despite no camping fees.
