About this campsite

Located in the majestic Kennedy Range National Park, Temple Gorge Campground offers a genuine outback experience, providing basic bush camping facilities, including toilets. The site is ideal for bushwalking, picnicking, and photography, especially post-rain when the wildflowers are in full bloom. Visitors are advised to carry sufficient water as none is available in the park. While the campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis, safety guidelines urge visitors to avoid solo ventures into the gorges and refrain from walking during peak heat.

Facilities include toilets, bushwalking, camping and an information bay. Sightseeing, photography, picnicking, bush camping and hiking are popular here. After rain, the wildflowers are spectacular, with everlastings growing from horizon to horizon. This park offers a true outback experience that is within 100km of 'civilisation'. Best time to visit: Late autumn to early spring. Do not go walking into the gorges alone and make sure you have plenty of water before setting off. Avoid walking in the hottest part of the day. For current road conditions in the region contact: Shire of Upper Gascoyne, 4 Scott Street, Gascoyne Junction WA 6701, ph: (08) 9943 0988. Bookings do not apply at this campground.
