Ohauora Campsite is a Department of Conservation site located within Whanganui National Park in the Manawatū-Whanganui region. Accessible only by boat, this remote campsite serves paddlers on the Whanganui Journey, one of New Zealand's Great Walks. The site provides basic facilities including toilets, offering a simple base for canoeists and kayakers travelling the Whanganui River. Bookings are required during the peak season from October to April, with a maximum stay of two consecutive nights for river trip participants. The DOC Campsite Pass is not valid here.
