Overview

Currant Creek Campground sits next to Currant Creek Reservoir at an elevation of 8,000 feet. A wide variety of recreational activities awaits, including boating, fishing and hiking.

Recreation

Rainbow, cutthroat and brown trout fishing is a popular activity on the reservoir, as is canoeing, kayaking and boating. A boat ramp is located on-site.


Numerous horseback riding, hiking and biking trails crisscross the area, including a nice loop around the reservoir. Currant Creek Trail begins in D Loop of the campground.

Facilities

This large campground provides group, equestrian, and single and double-family sites. A day-use area is on the lake shore and offers an accessible fishing dock and fish cleaning station. A small store is located at the campground entrance, with camping and fishing supplies, firewood, ice and limited food items. 

Campsites contain picnic tables, campfire rings, grills and cement site pads. Flush toilets, drinking water and a dump station are provided.  

Natural Features

The campground is situated on a hillside above the reservoir, among stands of aspen, fir and lodgepole pine trees, which offer partial shade. Summer wildflowers are plentiful. Deer and elk frequent the site, and nearly every campsite has scenic views of the reservoir and surrounding mountains.

Race Track Creek Trailhead is just outside the campground. Coal Mine Hollow is just around the lake. Both offer off-road vehicle trail opportunities, hiking and fishing.

Change and Cancellation Policies and Fees

  • Overnight and Day Use Facilities: To ensure fairness, reservation arrival or departure dates may not be changed beyond the booking window until 18 days after booking the reservation.
  • Camping / Day Use: A $10.00 service fee will apply if you change or cancel your reservation (including campsites, cabins, lookouts, group facilities, etc.). The $10.00 service fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

Cancellations for a single night's reservation will forfeit the entire use fee but no cancellation fee will apply.

Overview This duplex cabin is adjacent to the beautiful Currant Creek Reservoir at an elevation of 8,000 feet. A wide variety of recreational activities awaits, including boating, fishing and hiking. Numerous horseback riding, hiking and biking trails crisscross the area, including a nice loop around the reservoir. Facilities Currant Creek Guard Station complex can host up to 32 people . The cabin , which is divided into two separate units , each with its own entrance, kitchen, bathroom, and gathering area, can host up to 16 people . Sleeping: Each unit sleeps up to 8 people. Altogether there are 3 bedrooms with a mix of queen beds and bunk beds. Unit A: 1 bedroom with a queen bed. Unit B: 2 bedrooms, 1 with a queen bed, and 1 with 2 sets of bunk beds. Amenities: Both units have running water, flush toilets, showers, propane heat, and fully equipped kitchens with modern appliances and cookware. Guests need to bring their own linens, dishes, silverware, cups, and glasses . Utilities are included. Gathering areas: Each unit has a living space with sofas and chairs. Extra RV parking: There are 4 full hook-up RV pads available for an additional fee, payable on-site (check availability with the host at 385-273-1100 ). Restrictions: No pets are allowed. The garage is not open to the public. Check-in: Guests must check in with the hosts at Currant Creek Campground , who will escort them to the cabin. Overview Lodgepole Campground is located in scenic Daniels Canyon just a short drive from Heber, Utah, and Strawberry Reservoir at an elevation of 7,800 feet. Campers enjoy fishing and hiking in the canyon and day-tripping to Strawberry. Recreation Daniels Creek is stocked with rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout. Foreman Hollow Trail begins in the campground, offering easy to moderate hiking on a 4-mile loop with excellent views of Strawberry Reservoir, Strawberry Peak and Twin Peaks. Facilities The campground offers flushable toilets, as well as group picnic shelters. Loop A contains individual sites, while Loop B contains two group camping sites, one for up to 50 people, and the other for up to 130 people. Overview This large vacation cabin is next to the beautiful Strawberry Reservoir at an elevation of 7,200 feet. Visitors flock to Strawberry for its great fishing, boating and trail opportunities.
