Camping Tendaro in La Malbaie, Charlevoix, offers 15 rustic, unserviced tent sites spread across a semi-wild property where fields and dense forest meet along the St. Lawrence River. Embracing a nomadic camping spirit, the campground welcomes tents, tent trailers, mini-trailers up to 16 feet, and Class B vans up to 20 feet. Sites are spaced well apart, some tucked in forest, others providing river views, emphasizing quiet contemplation over amenities. Each site accommodates a maximum of four adults or two adults with children. Pets are permitted on leash. Check-in runs from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., with noon checkout.
