Overview Wolf Creek Park is located on the northern shore of Navarro Mills Lake in central Texas. Fishing is also popular at Navarro Mills, and the lake holds the current state record for white crappie. Fishermen come from near and far to sample some of the best crappie fishing anywhere. There are also healthy populations of channel and yellow catfish, and hefty hybrid stripers are often caught below the dam when water is being released. Liberty Hill has a fishing pier, and there is a full-service marina at the lake. Facilities Wolf Creek Park offers 50 campsites with water and electric hookups, 22 non-electric sites, two double sites and one group site. Public restrooms with showers, a group picnic shelter, fishing pier, dump station and a two-lane boat ramp with a courtesy dock are provided within the facility. Natural Features Most of the campsites are partly shaded, and Wolf Creek is also a favorite viewing area for wildflowers. The brilliant array of native flowers draws visitors from all over to the lake area during the spring. Bluebonnets, paintbrushes and a myriad of other native plants transform the often-bleak winter landscape into an incredible palette of colors. A wide variety of habitat provides a home and abundant food supply to diverse wildlife. Visitors might stumble across squirrels, rabbits, coyotes, foxes, bobcats, white-tailed deer, raccoon or armadillo.

Life Jackets are available to borrow from the gatehouse. Facilities Liberty Hill has just over 100 campsites, most of which have electric and water hookups and several have sewer hookups. Five sites have screened in shelters that include sinks. Two multi-lane boat ramps, a fishing pier, swim beach, playground, group shelter and dump stations are provided within the facility. Overview Love Park is on the southeastern shore of Bardwell Lake, less than an hour south of the Dallas-Fort Worth area in north-central Texas. The lake has favorable fish and wildlife habitats, providing plenty of opportunities for fishing and hunting, and great locations for camping, boating and hiking. Deer, armadillo, rabbit, squirrel and a variety of bird species inhabit the area. Recreation Many local fishermen consider Bardwell Lake one of the best kept secrets in the state. Bass fishermen seldom leave empty-handed. Crappie fishing is moderate, and catfish are usually excellent. The lake has a marina with fishing piers, two of which are enclosed (a small fee is charged for the use of these facilities), and there are several designated hunting areas around the lake, including those for duck hunting. Facilities Love Park offers one reservable group picnic pavilion that can accommodate up to 200 people. The facility also provides vault toilets and a four-lane boat ramp. Natural Features The park is grassy and partially forested. The lake's blue water provides a refreshing break from the Texas heat, while bright bluebonnets and other wildflowers surround the lakeshore each spring. Nearby Attractions Numerous amenities, as well as cultural and historical attractions, lie in the nearby cities of Dallas and Fort Worth.
