Callaghan Lake is a provincial park campground operated by BC Parks, located along Highway 99 approximately 70 kilometres north of Vancouver and 20 kilometres south of Whistler. The park offers designated frontcountry camping on a fee-free basis during snow-free months, typically from May through September. Camping is restricted to the designated campground area as a precaution against grizzly bear encounters. The site is accessible directly from the highway and tends to be busy during summer weekends. Whistler serves as the nearest community for services and supplies.
