Butter Pot Provincial Park Campsite offers 175 sites within a 2,833-hectare wilderness area located on the Trans-Canada Highway, approximately 36 kilometres southwest of St. John's on Newfoundland's Avalon Peninsula. The park features boreal forest, barrens and ponds beneath the distinctive 303-metre Butter Pot Hill. Campers can access sandy beaches, canoe and kayak on park ponds, and explore multiple hiking trails leading to scenic lookouts. Facilities include showers, laundry, playgrounds, picnic shelters, firewood sales and group camping areas. The park operates seasonally from mid-May through mid-September and accommodates both tents and RVs.
