Billygoat Basin Campsite is a Department of Conservation backcountry site situated within Coromandel Forest Park in the Kauaeranga Valley. Positioned on the popular Billygoat Circuit, this remote camping area offers eight raised platforms, each accommodating up to four people, and features non-flush toilets and stream water access. The campsite lies approximately one hour's walk from the road end across the unbridged Kauaeranga River and roughly two hours from the Pinnacles, making it a convenient stopover for trampers exploring the circuit and the remnants of the valley's logging history.
