Big Lake Recreation Site offers six camping spots in the Chilcotin plateau's forested hills near Nemaiah Valley, providing views of Mount Tatlow and the Coast Mountains. The site accommodates both RV and tent camping and features pit toilets and nearby boat launch access. Rainbow trout fishing is a popular activity at the lake. Managed as a recreation site, it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. To reach the site from Williams Lake, follow Highway 20 to Hanceville, turn south across Hanceville Bridge, and continue along the 900 road toward Nemaiah Valley following posted signs.
