Poboktan Campground is a backcountry camping area in Alberta managed by Parks Canada. As a backcountry site, it requires self-sufficient camping skills and preparation for remote wilderness conditions. Visitors should expect minimal or no facilities and must follow Leave No Trace principles. Access typically involves hiking or paddling, and backcountry permits are standard for Parks Canada wilderness sites. Given the remote nature of this campground, campers should be prepared for variable weather, wildlife encounters, and the need to pack in all supplies and pack out all waste.
