Mount Gambier Showground offers affordable camping in the heart of Mount Gambier, the largest city in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia. The showground provides flat grassy sites suitable for caravans, motorhomes, and tents with basic facilities. Mount Gambier is famous for the Blue Lake, a volcanic crater lake that turns a vivid cobalt blue each November. Other attractions include Umpherston Sinkhole (a sunken garden), Engelbrecht Cave for cave diving, and the Lady Nelson Visitor and Discovery Centre. The showground is centrally located with easy access to supermarkets, cafes, and fuel. It is a popular overnight stop for travellers on the Melbourne to Adelaide route via the Great Ocean Road or the Princes Highway through the Coorong.
