Grey River Camping is a free Department of Conservation site in the Mount Grey/Maukatere Conservation Area, Canterbury. Located along Cramptons Bush Road within the Ashley Forest, the site is accessible by car, campervan and caravan. Water is available from the stream. Access requires crossing the Grey River on foot as the ford has been washed out. The conservation area features remnant native forest and tussock grasslands within a privately owned commercial forest setting. The site lies approximately 17 kilometres from Amberley via Douglas Road and Cramptons Bush Road.
