Nestled in the upper reaches of the stunning Porcupine Gorge, Pyramid Campground offers an outdoor haven for nature enthusiasts. It serves as the launching pad for the scenic 2.4-kilometer Pyramid track, meandering its way down into the heart of the gorge. Although the descent might be a test for your shoes, it's well worth the sweat as breathtaking vistas unfurl around each bend. A refreshing reward awaits in the form of a serene swimming hole tucked beneath the towering Pyramid Rock. To ensure an optimal and eco-friendly camping experience, Pyramid Campground, like all Queensland national parks, requires prior booking and payment. Although it seems a bit remote, being far from phone access, the National Parks office in nearby Hughenden is ready to help those in need of assistance. More than a campsite, the Pyramid Campground experience is a real welcoming power, allowing you to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with Mother Nature.
