This grassy, flat camping area beside a stream provides a simple base for tenters, with long-drop toilets and water from the stream (treat before drinking). A short 700-metre bush walk through native forest runs from the site, offering a scenic leg-stretch. The reserve is reached via Puhi Puhi Road, 6 kilometres inland from the highway.
