Otaio Gorge Campsite is a Department of Conservation site in the Hunters Hills area of Canterbury, approximately 15 kilometres west of Pleasant Point. Set within a scenic reserve beside native forest, the campsite sits alongside the Otaio River, which offers opportunities for swimming in clear-water pools. Basic facilities include toilets, picnic tables and water from tap, with around 20 tent sites available. The gorge setting provides a sheltered camping environment surrounded by natural bush. Bookings are managed through the DOC system, and the standard DOC camping fees apply. Access is via Cave Pareora Road, then Colliers Road and Blue Cliffs School Road.
