Overview

Whether it's fishing, boating, camping, or picnicking, Grenada Lake has something for everyone. Located near Gore Springs, Mississippi, North Graysport Campground is far enough inland from the lake to avoid the sounds of motorboats, but close enough for a short drive to fishing, boating and swimming.

Recreation

Birding opportunities are bountiful, and wildlife photographers will be happy to find everything from waterfowl to bluebirds and white-tailed deer.

In and around the lake are baseball fields, fitness trails, golfing, tennis and much more.

Facilities

The campground has 50 campsites, each with water and electric hookups, and sewer hookups have been added to campsites # 1-50. Additional amenities include hot showers, a boat ramp and an amphitheater.

Natural Features

Grenada Lake is fed by the Yalobusha and Skuna Rivers in Mississippi. The dual river pathways create a V-shaped lake, and the campground sits on the land between this "V". At 215 ft. elevation, the man-made lake has about 148 miles of shoreline and holds 35,820 acres of water.

The lake is a wonderful setting for exploration. Head to the Visitor Center to learn about Grenada Lake, and visit the city of Grenada to see historic sites like the civil war fort built by Confederates to fortify their territory along the Mississippi Central Railroad.

Overview Eagle Point Campground is a primitive campground which is adjacent to Main Beach and is in the same vicinity as Oak Grove Beach, Tall Pines Day Use Area, and Grenada Landing. This campground has eight updated, primitive campsites which overlook the lake. Recreation Recreation oppotunities for this area consist of swimming, picnicking, boating, fishing, and camping. Facilities Eagle Point is an updated primitive campground with an updated bathroom.

Overview North Abutment Campground is located on the north end of Grenada Dam on Grenada Lake. The campground is an excellent destination for boating and fishing. The region is steeped in history, with an array of civil war landmarks. In summer, Grenada Lake is home to the annual Thunder on Water Safe Boating Festival. Featured events include concerts, a youth fishing rodeo, tractor pull and fireworks display. Recreation In addition to general lake activities like boating, fishing, picnicking and sailing, the region boasts a sports complex, baseball fields, an 18-hole golf course and a fitness trail. Facilities This modern campground is equipped with 88 RV site pads, each with a parking apron and 50 amp electric and water hookups and campsites #2-88 are equipped with sewer hookups. All sites are reservable thru recreation.gov. The lake is accessible via nearby boat ramps, found just outside of the campground. The campground also has an amphitheater in Phase 1. Natural Features The campground is on the north shore of Grenada Lake. Several campsites face the water May through August, but the water level is dropped for water storage in winter, making the shoreline as far as a mile from the campground. Within the campground there is a small 17 acre lake that has a swimming beach and is stocked with Bream, Largemouth Bass, and Catfish for the campers to enjoy catching. Grenada Lake is on the Yalobusha and Skuna Rivers in Mississippi. The man-made lake has about 148 miles of shoreline and holds 35,820 acres of water. Nearby Attractions Visit the Haserway Wetland Demonstration Area, a 100-acre reservoir of bottomland hardwood trees, five moist soil management areas, two millet ponds and a 1.5-mile interpretive trail. Overview Grenada Landing is a beautiful area with a beach and marina near by . It is located off Highway 333, and is adjacent to main beach. Recreation A swimming beach is near by the pavilion as well as a primitive campground. The boat ramp nearby includes $5 fee to launch. Facilities Restroom, beach, and boat ramp are located in the area. Natural Features Grenada Landing is less than a mile from Lost Bluff Hiking Trail which has multiple wildlife sitings and unique vegetation. Nearby Attractions Attractions include the Overlook, Main Beach, Grenada Landing Ramp, Lost Bluff Hiking Trail, and Dogwoods Golf Course. There is also a primitive and Class A campground near the area.

Overview Dam Area Central is located near the intersection of Hwy 332 and the Toe Road. Recreation Recreation opportunities in the Dam Area Central Recreation Area include playgrounds, ball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a mile long fitness trail. Facilities Pavilion 563 can accommodate up to 150 individuals. Pavilion 502 can accommodate up to 50 individuals. Natural Features Many different wildlife and plant species can be viewed in this area and are easy to spot as you walk along the Dam Area Central Fitness Trail. Overview North Outlet Pavilion #550 is located on the north side of the Outlet Channel near the Hugh White State Park Campground. This pavilion overlooks Grenada Lakes Outlet Channel and provides an excellent location for fishing opportunities. This pavilion is located in close proximity to a handicap accessible restroom and can accommodate up to 100 individuals. Recreation There are multiple areas to fish as well as playgrounds located within a mile. Facilities Restroom near pavilion. There is also fishing near outlet channel. Natural Features There is a beautiful view of Grenada Lake's Outlet Channel and 2 hiking trails near by. Nearby Attractions Attractions are the Overlook, Main Beach, Lost Bluff Hiking Trail, Class A Campground, and Dogwoods golf course.
