Kaniwhaniwha Campsite is a basic Department of Conservation site in Pirongia Forest Park, Waikato, accessible only on foot or by mountain bike. Set on open grassland beside Kaniwhaniwha Stream, this free campsite offers toilets and stream water. With no vehicle access, it provides a peaceful base for exploring the forest park's walking and mountain biking tracks. Groups of more than ten are encouraged to contact DOC beforehand to avoid overcrowding. Te Araroa Trail walkers passing through should register and purchase the appropriate trail pass.
