Overview
Curtis Creek Park is a classic camping destination with a wealth of options for boating, hiking, hunting and fishing. The park area provides excellent views of Milford Lake and Milford Dam. Whether it's boating, birding, fishing or biking, Curtis Creek provides opportunities for all types of visitors.Water skiing is popular sport on the lake, while an accessible floating fishing dock provides an ideal location for catching trout closer to shore.
Facilities
The majority of sites have electric and water hookups and modern amenities such as flush toilets and hot showers, provide a comfortable camping experience.A boat ramp and playground are both provided for entertainment and convenience.

The campground is on a peninsula on the banks of Milford Lake, the largest man-made lake in Kansas. Fed by the waters of the Republican River, Milford Lake spans a surface area of 15,700 acres and an impressive 163 miles of shoreline.Nearby Attractions
Hiking trails include the Waterfall Trail and the Crystal Trail. The wildlife Viewing Tower and Trail is a hot spot for excellent wildlife viewing.The Milford Education Center and Fish Hatchery are located below the dam.

NORTH OVERLOOK PARK (KS)
Overview North Overlook Park is a one of the many day use parks at Milford Lake with two shelters available for reservations, great fishing access, and a playground. Also within walking distance of the shelters is a baseball field, horseshoe pits and a volleyball court. Recreation Activities at Milford Lake include boating, swimming, fishing, hunting, hiking, wildlife viewing and biking. Milford Lake is known to have great sail boating opportunities as well. Facilities Each shelter has picnic tables and grill available for use. Shelter 2 also has a sand volleyball court and horseshoe pits available. And there is a playground, vault toilet and baseball field located between the two shelters. Natural Features NATURAL FEATURES: Milford Lake is nestled on the edge of the Kansas Flint Hills and is fed by the Republican River. Milford Lake stands as the largest man-made lake in Kansas, with a surface area of 15,700 acres and 163 miles of shoreline. Milford Lake is also the home of the states third largest wetland and is known to a variety of wildlife. Nearby Attractions The Milford Nature Center and Fish Hatchery is nearby just below the dam. There you can find live animal exhibits as well as learn about the ecosystems of Kansas. A golf course is adjacent to the nature center on the north end of the Dam and the town of Junction City is approximately five miles from North Overlook Shelter.
