Beaver Dam is a small Provincial Recreation Area in Alberta located off Highway 11 near Nordegg. The campground features eleven unserviced sites including walk-in tent sites positioned along Shunda Creek and additional sites suited for overnight RV stops. The creekside setting offers access to paddling opportunities and informal trails, with the sound of flowing water providing a natural backdrop for campers. Operating from May to October, the recreation area provides a straightforward camping experience focused on outdoor activities such as canoeing, kayaking, fishing and wildlife observation in a wooded environment convenient to the David Thompson Highway corridor.
